My copy of The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking arrived today thanks to Amazon Prime (the annual $79 fee is such a steal!).  I am guilty of my gluttony for books--buying numbers of them without realizing that I may not actually have the time to go through all of them in a year.  But this time, I promise the end result will be different!  I'm rather excited to dig into the nitty-grittiness of Susan Cain's insight as she explores the cultural aspect of introvertedness as well... all on a Friday night.  Yes, folks, today is Friday, meaning we are less than a week away from sharing our thanks over a homey, hearty meal!  My mom and I have been checking off items off our list as we slowly finish shopping for Thanksgiving.  And what better way to beat the rainy weather than to go out cheerily in style.  You may or may not remember that I wore my Max & Co. skirt with my knit sweater last week, but this weekend, I'm zipping up with my Sandro jacket, oxfords, and beanie.  Although California prides itself in being the sunny state, it too experiences the seasonal lows.

Given the drop in temperature, I very much prefer hanging out with my book tonight.  Happy Friday, everyone!

Friday Fashion: Fall-in' Back with Graphics

Don't be afraid to reveal the inner-child in you this Fall.  Trends for patterns and prints vary every season, but we inevitably still see them on the runway to a certain degree.  Graphic sweaters and tees?  Not so much.  While designers display them from time to time, it's rare for a wave of highly revered ones to be so forthright about them.  However, I've noticed that from the collections of Stella McCartney to Max and Co. to Burberry, graphics are 'fall'-ing in style.  The sweaters above are some of my favorites, and if you know me, when I shop, versatility ranks at the top of my priorities.  You can easily throw on a cardigan vest or blazer with these sweaters in mild weather or grab a warm, puffy vest on colder days.  From slipping on a pair of classic denim jeans to flaunting a bit of skin with cute skirts, you won't have to stress about searching for the "right" bottom.

TGIF, everyone!  I still can't believe that it's Friday.  Labor Day Weekend has already arrived.  Last Labor Day, our family went to The Taste (food festival) thanks to the free tickets I received from PBS during my internship there.  Since we hosted a BBQ about 3 weeks ago, our family's planning on taking it easy and going out for brunch by the beach.  If you have any exciting plans, do share!
