When things get rough, it's never easy to keep a smile. Human nature, right? If we truly were to live by our values and virtues, we should be able to persevere and see the bigger picture in life. Being a perfectionist, I learned the hard way to let go. At the end of the day, you just need to laugh and leave behind any issue or problem. Otherwise, you lose sight of the greater beauties in life.
As a workaholic, I will need to physically close my laptop or intentionally set up hangouts on a Friday evening. It is a challenge for me to not respond to emails on my phone; I need to do everything in my willpower to not do so. In light of such, I created mini-goals for myself, which are all related to travel. Before February approaches, I would love to visit Cape Cod, The Hamptons, Portland, Toronto, Mohegan Bluffs, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (Boston). Maybe these goals are a bit lofty, but I would be pleased with even a 50% success rate.
With summer winding down, I'll need to plan my travel around the season. Crossing my fingers!
