Monday Musings: Hanging by a Thread

{Woof and Poof Santa Door Hanger | Mrs. Always Right Pillow | Isabel Marant x H&M}

Last week, my mom and I were on an absolute Christmas decoration craze, which only magnifies until a few days prior to Christmas.  While out shopping, we decided to hunt for the new Santa door hanger at Nordstrom's Home Furnishing department that we saw online.  The two of us grabbed one without hesitation and ended up reaching for a "Mrs. Always Right" pillow as well.  Mr. Santa is proudly made in the U.S.A.! In light of threads and whatnot, Isabel Marant for H&M hits stores this Thursday at 8 am.  Unfortunately, for those not residing in Los Angeles and New York, you will struggle to pull an all-nighter at an H&M.  Only select stores will offer the collaboration collection, and only the first 420 have access to the store for the first 3 hours.  However, everyone will be able to shop online at 12 pm EST but may only purchase one of each item (do people actually buy the same item 4 times?).  You have 7 days to return the items.  To save yourself the trouble though, here are some tips:

  1. Skip the shoes ($300 for cheap-looking shoes? No, thanks. Invest $100-$200 more, and you can own a pair of comfortable, Italian leather shoes)
  2. Visit the Kids section if you're petite enough.  I find the designs for the Kids collection much savvier (not to mention lower-priced!).
  3. Go for the coats, tees, and pants instead.

Truthfully speaking, Isabel Marant's collaboration does not entice me, but it's always fun checking out the latest and newest fashion inspirations.  If you do camp outside and return home victoriously, please share with the rest of us your goodies!

Have a good night!
